Release Level 2 Breakdown Reel
Music therapist, do you know how to palm mute? Do you use it in sessions? 🧐
Palm muting can serve incredibly practical purposes for guitar playing in MT sessions. In this riff, it’s used to augment the rhythmic pattern by creating natural accents from the chords that aren’t palm muted. In MT, I’ve used palm muting while a little one was strumming my ukulele loudly to quiet it while in the same treatment room as ABA, OT, and ST conducting their sessions. Palm muting is commonly used in rock and roll music and can be used to distinguish verses and choruses. 📝
Try using palm muting in your strum patterns, and see what you come up with! 🎊
Happy riffing! 🎸
